From Idea to Interface: Figma Web Design for a Crypto Exchange Platform

Client: Allineum
Industry: Cryptocurrency & Fintech
Service Delivered: UI/UX Design (Figma Prototyping)
Agency: Codestro

About the Client – Allineum

Allineum aims to be the exchange platform that will realize the future of decentralized finance. The platform will support various types of crypto-assets supported by different blockchains, including prominent tokens, popular altcoins and emerging NFT collections. Allineum has bigger ambitions than most exchanges today have.  It will be a serious competitor in the fintech space.

The platform will simplify the process of trading crypto and creating, holding and managing digital assets for both novice and advanced participants. To bring this vision to fruition Allineum engaged Codestro to design a scalable, user-friendly, developer-friendly, web interface that will serve as the framework for Allineum’s forthcoming platform.

The Challenge: Designing for Clarity in a Complex Crypto Ecosystem

The crypto ecosystem is fluid, data heavy and often confusing for new entrants to the environment. Allineum engaged Codestro with a specific request:

Build a modern UI that helps demystify crypto trading while incorporating advanced capabilities around browsing NFTs, managing tokens, and viewing dashboards of information in real time.

Key design challenges included:

  • 1. Competing with dominant players like Binance and Coinbase.
  • 2. Defining the onboarding journey for first-time users of any crypto service.
  • 3. How to combine multi-currency wallets, NFT marketplaces and trading dashboards within one experience.
  • 4. Providing a developer friendly design system that allows rapid deployment.
  • 5. Visualizing complex data and price movement in a simple, easy to comprehend experience at the point of access.

Our Solution: A Full-Stack Figma UI System Built for Speed and Scale

Codestro treated this project not simply as a design project but as a user experience project. Using Figma, we delivered a full end-to-end web UI design system – enabling Allineum to move from idea to execution in a clear and timely manner.

Our Process:

1. User Research & Market Analysis

To start, we completed a competitor map – comparing platforms like Binance, Coinbase, and OpenSea for their features, user flows, and interface approaches.

2. UX Strategy & Wireframing

Next, we mapped out important user journeys including onboarding, KYC, links to trade tokens, link to wallets, and find NFTs. We also developed early-phase wireframes to test flows and slow down and reduce UX friction.

3. High-Fidelity Figma Designs

We delivered a series of polished, responsive UI screens including a homepage, trading views, NFT hot marketplace, and wallet views.

4. Modular Design System

Codestro developed a full set of UI components – including repeatable cards, repeatable filters, charts, forms, modals, and navigational – to enable less friction in development hand off and design consistency.

5. Light & Dark Mode Support

Because crypto is a 24/7 game, we included both color schemes for user comfort, usability, and accessibility.
